Yungblud fleabag
I think that out of all of my recent pieces of work, this portrait definitely has to be a favourite. The client told me I could do my own thing. She told me she wanted a Yungblud Portrait but in my own style. So I chose to do my usual thing and zombified him. I really enjoyed this piece as i was able to really experiment with shadows and textures.
I think that when a client gives an artist a chance to show off what they can really do, that’s when you really get their best work.
Yungblud was actually able to see this piece in person too and I’ve heard that he “Loved it” and said that it was “sick”, Even calling other people over to see it. I’m so happy that i could make the client and Yungblud happy with this one.
The king
I Find that the majority of the portraits that I do are celebrity portraits. I think that when someone makes a piece of music plays a role in a movie, they can sometimes speak to someone an another level and potentially change someone’s life. When someone chooses to show that appreciation through putting a on their body, I think it can show more appreciation for that person than words can.
I really enjoyed doing this Elvis portrait, the contrast between the shadow and light on the leather jacket, the subtle tone difference in the face and Elvis doing what he did best. I think this was the perfect picture of Elvis to turn into a tattoo.
Football Fans
Football fans have always amazed me when it comes to the sport and what they are willing to do for their team. I’ve done everything from just a team badge to a full arm or leg sleeve full of portraits and other things to do with their favourite team. It’s different because football is one of the only sports where you see this level of fan.
This portrait of Alex Ferguson was just one of the tattoos that eventually made up a half leg sleeve. The whole sleeve was Manchester United themed.
Personal I’m not a football fan, but anything with portraits and a good theme that i can really work with is great for me.
